I have represented members of The Florida Bar and applicants to the Bar before the Florida Board of Bar Examiners since 2010. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in English, I taught both middle school and college. I attended Stetson University College of Law, beginning in the part time program – teaching by day and learning at night. My last year, I switched to full time, which afforded me the opportunity to clerk for Judge Nelly Khouzam at the Second District Court of Appeal, as well as Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Jenkins at the Middle District of Florida. After graduating cum laude from Stetson, I spent twelve years at Smith, Tozian, Daniel & Davis, P.A., representing lawyers and applicants to the Bar.
I am rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. I am a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Association of Bar Defense Lawyers. I have been a presenter at CLE courses involving ethics and professionalism, as well as having spoken before law students regarding the Bar application process.
My wife Jacqueline Brown is also a Florida lawyer (and former educator). We have two amazing boys, a couple of pups, and an ornery cat.
